My interest in data started only a few years ago when I was just starting out in my new position in IT as a recent graduate. During my time working in the downtown GTA area, I came across many data related jobs on the internal hiring board and I curiously investigated what someone in the data world does in a day.

Quickly, I became interested in the world of collecting, and then analyzing data. I realized it was something I had been doing for a lot of my life, and something that I enjoyed doing: which was taking some data and being able to make a story out of it. Using your finding from the data to shape a narrative. As well as, I always enjoyed making visuals and charts!

Soon after I had done lots of research into the different subfields and jobs in the data industry, and started my first online certificate before taking the plunge and attending graduate school in the Business Analytics for Data Decision Making at Durham College.
